Abstract
In this paper, we present another extended tanh method for obtaining explicit exact soliton-like solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. By using this method via symbolic computation system, some families of new soliton-like solutions of the (2 + 1) dimensional Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation are obtained.
