Abstract :
The reaction π− + p → Λ + K0 is discussed taking into account the recoil momentum implications of the mass difference ΔM between the long Kl and short Ks mesons. Previous discrepancies in the experimental reported values of ΔM are resolved, and spatial oscillations in the Λ decay products are predicted.
