Abstract :
Recently it has been suggested that a κ-deformed Poincaré algebra, which preserves rotational and translational symmetries, can be applied to the Dirac-Coulomb problem to give ϵ = 1/κ < 1 fm [L.C. Biedenharn, B. Mueller and M. Tarlini, Phys. Lett. B 318 (1993) 613]. This suggests applications in nuclear-particle physics. We apply it to the NJL model to show that the natural cut-off ϵ−1 gives reasonable values of the dynamical quark mass, fπ and the quark condensate.
