Study of the decay B → ππ via perturbative QCD

We show that the modified perturbative QCD formalism including Sudakov effects is applicable to the non-leptonic decay B → ππ. The imaginary contribution to the decay amplitude from the on-shell virtual heavy quark is discussed. Our predictions for the decay width are comparable with those from non-perturbative approaches.
