On the strong and electromagnetic decays of D∗-mesons

The infinite mass effective theory, when the heavy quark mass tends to infinity, and chiral perturbation theory at the quark level, based on the extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, are applied for the theoretical exploration of strong and electromagnetic decays of D∗-mesons. The theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data. The important role of light current quark mass corrections is argued.
