Star integral and multidimension intermittency in 400 GeV/c pp collisions

Some comparisons are made between the traditional factorial moment and the ‘star’ integral moment. And the star integral is applied to study the intermittent behaviour in η, ϕ, η-ϕ spaces for our experiment. The results show that the star integral can well reflect the intermittent behaviour. Larger intermittency exponent is observed for higher dimension.
