Strangeness in constituent quarks and one-spin asymmetry in inclusive ϕ-meson production

On the basis of the mechanism proposed earlier for one-spin asymmetries in inclusive hadron production we consider the OZI-suppressed process of ϕ-meson production pp → ϕX and the asymmetry AN(ϕ) in this process. The main role in the generation of this asymmetry belongs to the orbital angular momentum of the strange quark-antiquark cloud in the internal structure of the constituent quarks.
