Abstract
Spectroscopic factors extracted for 208Pb(p, 2p)207Tl at 204 MeV are in excellent agreement with theoretical values and results from (e, eʹp) studies. Although distortion effects are an order of magnitude more severe for knockout with protons than with electrons, the theoretical treatment appears to be valid to such an extent that possible inadequacies are, surprisingly, not revealed in the present investigation.
