Induced discrete internal conversion in 99mTc

The induced discrete conversion involving a nuclear transition in keV-region is considered for the first time. As a result of such conversion in electromagnetic field with spectral flux F ≳ 1.1·1025 photons/(cm2·s·0.1%BW), the 6.01 h lifetime of the 99mTc isomer can be reduced significantly.
