Abstract :
We study the Q2 evolution of the nucleonʹs chiral-odd twist-3 distribution hL(x, Q2) starting from the MIT bag model calculation. A simple GLAP equation for hL(x, Q2) obtained at large Nc is used for the Q2 evolution. The correction due to the finite value of Nc is O(1Nc2) ∼ 10 % level. It turns out that the twist-3 contribution to hL(x, Q2) is significantly reduced at Q2 = 10 GeV2 in contrast to the g2(x, Q2) case. This is due to the fact that the corresponding anomalous dimension for hL is larger than that for g2 at small n (spin).
