Charge distributions in multifragmentation indicating the nuclear liquid-gas phase-transition?

We argue against recent analyses of charge yields at different fragment multiplicities that didnʹt take into account the experimental filter. Such a simplification leads to a misleading signal of the nuclear liquid-gas type phase transition at small excitation energy. The significance of the caloric signal is discussed.
