  • Abstract
    Using a schematic model we have investigated the collapse of the proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pn-QRPA) and the occurrence of phase instabilities in the space of solutions of the Hamiltonian. The analysis is based on the use of coherent states within the framework of a boson expansion method.
