A Chern-Simons field theory description of topologically linked polymers

In this paper the statistical mechanics of two topologically linked polymers is investigated. We show that this problem can be related to a n-components topological Ginzburg-Landau model with the addition of Chern-Simons terms. The Chern-Simons fields play the physical role of carriers of the interactions which enforce the topological constraints.
