Abstract
The present study was conducted to explore the effects of diabetes mellitus (DM) and green tea on some antioxidant enzymes in liver of rats. The obtained data showed that DM caused reduction of both glutathione S-transferase and glutathione peroxidase activities as well as reduced glutathione, while it significantly augment the lipid peroxidation in liver of rats. Furthermore, the green tea additions results in amelioration of the most mentioned adverse effects.
