Measurement of the internal impedance of traction rails at audiofrequency

The electrical behavior of sample steel traction rails is analyzed considering the resistance and the internal inductance. Measurements are performed on a sample rail with circulation of audiofrequency current superimposed on a 50-Hz supply current.
