Abstract
We study mixed boundary value problems for LCD (liquid crystal displays) with chiral nematic for calculating the orientation of molecules and the light transmission. Existence results are established for mixed boundary value problem. Numerical methods for time-independent and -dependent problems are investigated. Some numerical results are also given.
