Some theorems on linear positive operators and functionals and their applications

In this paper, we prove two theorems concerning linear positive operators and functionals in a very general sense. We show how these results can be used to derive new results in a wide range of applications from approximation theory, to the numerical treatment of differential equations and to the numerical analysis connected with signals and images.
