Abstract :
This paper extends gas-kinetic schemes to the Euler equations for real gases. In the current scheme, the maxwell-Boltzmann gas distribution function is modified to recover macroscopic flow equations. More specifically, the internal degree of freedom of the gas distribution function becomes a function of flow variables according to the general equation of state. The numerical results confirm the accuracy and robustness of the gas-kinetic approach.
