Abstract :
Using the isovector approach as developed in [1] and the direct method of Clarkson and Kruskal [2], we have obtained similarity and other reductions to ordinary differential equations and exact solutions of the small disturbance potential flow equation in two dimension nonequilibrium transonic gas dynamics; namely, K (Cφx−A) φxxx+KCφ2xx+Dφxφxx−Kφxyy−Bφxx−φyy=0 Further, the Lie algebra of the transformation groups yielded by the isovector approach has enabled us to remark on its solvability and nilpotency.
