An umbral calculus over inifinite coefficient fields of positive characteristic

A variation of the classical theory of finite operator calculus is discussed, in which we work in an infinite field of characteristics p ≠ 0. The results we have established resemble those of [1]; a new class of operators, characteristic operators, is introduced as the “right concept” to work with in the new theory.
