The inverse spectrum problem for positive generalized stochastic matrices

We consider the inverse spectrum problem for nonnegative matrices. In particular, we derive sufficient conditions for the existence of nonnegative and positive generalized stochastic and generalized doubly stochastic matrices with complex and real prescribed spectrum
