Exponentially fitted spline in compression for the numerical solution of singular perturbation problems

Some exponentially fitted difference schemes for singularly perturbed two point boundary value problems are derived using spline in compression. These schemes are second-order accurate. Numerical examples are given in support of the theoretical results.
