Sharp inequalities of Simpson type and Ostrowski type

Two sharp inequalities are derived. The first is a sharp Simpsonʹs inequality and the second is a sharp inequality of Ostrowski type. The mentioned inequalities give error bounds for some known quadrature rules. These results enlarge applicability o£ the corresponding quadrature rules with respect to the obtained error bounds. Applications in numerical integration are also given.
