Laguerre-type exponentials and generalized Appell polynomials

General classes of two variables Appell polynomials are introduced by exploiting properties of an iterated isomorphism, related to the so-called Laguerre-type exponentials. Further extensions to the multi-index and multivariable cases are mentioned.
