Long and intermediate time regimes in diffusion-limited reactions with imperfect trapping

We study a model for the A + B → B one dimensional diffusion-reaction system, where the reaction sites are modelled by a markovian stochastic process. Exact results for “dilute” as well as approximate ones for “dense” B systems habe been obtained for the mean values of the A particle density. These results havebeen compared with numerical simulations, showing good agreement in the short, intermediate and long time regimes.
