Fractal aggregates with fullerene-like monomers

Remarkable monomers were obtained during the production of metallic fractal aggregates. In particular copper has yielded a faceted structure, a triacontaoctahedron (38 faces), which bears similarity to the multifaceted carbon fullerenes but at a different scale. The observed monomers exhibit scale invariance over a sizeable scale factor and thus seem to imply a seed at the atomic level having the same structure.
