Abstract :
We have analysed the multifractal spectrums, f(α), for the growth site probability distribution (GSPD) of three-dimensional (3D) diffusion limited (DL) aggregates, with f and α being computed independently as generalized entropies. The GSPD is obtained by solving the Laplace equation numerically. A comparison was made between two sets of DL aggregates, corresponding to different growth rules. Test objects having known (α) curves were used to test the procedure. Results suggest this being an effective method to characterize the geometrical properties of fractal aggregates formed in 3D.
