Assessing the effect of shock policies in nonlinear macroeconomic dynamic systems using fractal boundaries in parameter space

A nonlinear model describing inflation and unemployment is examined using the concept of fractal boundaries in parameter space. Shock policies, where the money supply growth rate is suddenly reduced, provide one of the approaches in reducing the inflation rate. We examine the sensitivity of the outcome to a shock policy when basin boundaries are highly intertwined.
