A unified framework for modeling, simulating and explaining engineering systems

We present a unified framework which suffices to represent and manipulate physical objects and their relevant relations interactively in the context of modeling, simulating and explaining engineering systems, and which is demonstrated by an example of modeling river networks--environmental engineering systems[9].
