Abstract
This paper deals with the scheduling problems of a material handling system based on Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). A new approach, Analytic Process of Resource (APR), is applied to deal with them. A linear combined priority model is presented to make decisions in the problem-solving process, and a local search algorithm is developed to build such a priority model. With computer programming language C, a scheduler is developed to solve the scheduling problem in computer. The simulation results show the presented methodology is efficient and satisfied.
