Abstract :
In thispaper,weconsidertherecoveryofanairlinescheduleafteranunforeseeneventcalled disruption,
makingtheplannedscheduleinfeasible.Wepresentamodelingframeworkthatallowsthe
considerationofoperationalconstraintswithinaColumnGeneration(CG)scheme.Weintroducethe
generalconceptof recoverynetwork, generatedforeachindividual unit of theproblem,andshowhow
unit-specificconstraintsaremodeledusing resources. Wefullyillustratetheconceptbysolvingthe
AircraftRecoveryProblem(ARP)withmaintenanceplanning,wegivesomeinsightsintoapplyingthe
model tothePassengerRecoveryProblem(PRP)andwepresentcomputationalresultsonrealdata.
