In thispaperweconsideracontinuousreviewinventorysysteminwhichunsatisfieddemands,duetolack of stock,aresenttoapoolandarerepeateduntilbeingsatisfied.Theinventoryisreplenishedaccording to an(s, S) policyandthereplenishmenttimesfollowanexponentialdistribution.Weconcentrateon performance measuresrelatedtothewaitingtimeandfirst-passagetimesofthesystem.Moreconcretely, we studythewaitingtimeofademand,thetimebetweenreplenishmentordersandtheorbitidletime or intervalwithoutpendingdemands.Severalnumericalexamplesarepresentedtoillustratetheeffect of thesystemparametersonthesemeasures.
