Abstract :
Due-windowassignmentandschedulingareimportantissuesinmodernmanufacturingmanagement.
In thisnoteweconsidersingle-machinedue-windowassignmentandschedulingwithjob-dependent
aging effectsanddeterioratingmaintenance.Theobjectiveistofindjointlytheoptimaltimetoperform
maintenance,theoptimallocationandsizeofthedue-window,andtheoptimaljobsequenceto
minimizethetotalearliness,tardiness,anddue-windowrelatedcosts.Weshowthattheproblemcan
be optimallysolvedin Oðn4Þ time. Wealsoshowthataspecialcaseoftheproblemcanbeoptimally
solvedbyalowerorderalgorithm.
