Abstract :
In thisnoteweconsiderthe2-knapsackproblemwhereeachitemhasbothaweightandasize.We show thatasimpleyetpowerfulreductionprocedurecansignificantlyenhancethecapabilitiesofa commercialILPsolver,leadingtosolveverylargeinstances.
