Abstract :
This paperpresentsanewexactmaximumcliquealgorithmwhichimprovestheboundsobtainedin
state oftheartapproximatecoloringbyreorderingtheverticesateachstep.Moreover,thealgorithm
can makefulluseofbitstringstosortverticesinconstanttimeaswellastocomputegraphtransitions
and boundsefficiently,exploitingtheabilityofCPUstoprocessbitwiseoperationsinblocksofsizethe
ALU registerword.Asaresultitsignificantlyoutperformsacurrentleadingalgorithm.
