Abstract :
In thispaper,arotarychaoticparticleswarmoptimization(RCPSO)algorithmispresentedtosolve
trustworthyschedulingofagridworkflow.Ingeneral,thegridworkflowschedulingisacomplex
optimizationproblemwhichrequiresconsideringvariousschedulingcriteriasoastomeetawiderangeof
QoS requirementsfromusers.Traditionalresearchesintogridworkflowschedulingmainlyfocusonthe
optimizationconstrainedbytimeandcost.Thekeyrequirementsforreliability,availabilityandsecurity
are notconsideredadequately.Themaincontributionofthisstudyistoproposeanewapproachfor
trustworthyworkflowschedulinginalarge-scalegridwithrichserviceresources,andpresenttheRCPSO
algorithmtooptimizetheschedulingperformanceinamulti-dimensionalcomplexspace.Experiments
were doneintwogridapplicationswithatmost120candidateservicessuppliedtoeachtaskofvarious
workflows.TheresultsshowbetterperformanceoftheRCPSOinsolvingtrustworthyschedulingofgrid
workflowproblemsascomparedtoGA,ACOandotherrecentvariantsofPSO.
