Abstract :
The capacitatedmulti-sourceWeberproblementailsfindingboththelocationsofcapacitatedfacilitieson a planeandtheircustomerallocations.Aframeworkthatusesadaptivelearningandfunctional representationtoconstructtherestrictedcandidatelist(RCL)withinagreedyrandomizedadaptive search procedure(GRASP)isputforward.Animplementationofrestrictedregionsthatforbidsnew facilitiestobelocatedtooclosetothepreviouslyfoundfacilitiesisalsoembeddedintothesearchtobuild up theRCLmoreefficiently.TheperformanceofthisGRASPbasedapproachistestedonthreeclassesof instanceswithconstantandvariablecapacities.Verycompetitiveresultsareobtainedwhencomparedto the bestknownresultsfromtheliterature.
