Abstract :
We addresstheparallelmachinetotalweightedtardinessschedulingproblemwithreleasedates.We
describedominancerulesandfilteringmethodsforthisproblem.Mostofthemareadaptationsof
dominancerulesbasedonsolutionmethodsforthesingle-machineproblem.Weshowhowitispossible
to deducewhetherornotcertainjobscanbeprocessedbyaparticularmachineinaparticularcontextand
we describetechniquesthatusethisinformationtoimprovethedominancerules.Onthebasisofthese
techniqueswedescribeanenumerationprocedureandweprovideexperimentalresultstodeterminethe
effectivenessofthedominancerules.
