Abstract :
This paperaddressesthemulti-robot2-cyclicschedulingprobleminano-waitroboticcellwhereexactly two partsenterandleavethecellduringeachcycleandmultiplerobotsonasingletrackareresponsible for transportingpartsbetweenmachines.Wedevelopapolynomialalgorithmtofindtheminimum numberofrobotsforallfeasiblecycletimes.Consequently,theoptimalcycletimeforanygivennumberof robots canbeobtainedwiththealgorithm.Theproposedalgorithmcanbeimplementedin O(N7) time, where N is thenumberofmachinesintheconsideredroboticcell.
