Bimodal distributions with the spiral-type Maxwellians for the Bryan–Pidduck model

The approximate explicit solution of the Boltzmann equation for the model of rough spheres is constructed in a form of bimodal distribution with stationary, inhomogeneous Maxwellians. It describes the interaction between two rotating flows of a gas. Sufficient conditions for the infinitesimality of the integral discrepancy are obtained.  2003 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved
