Abstract :
In this paper we consider the solvability of the boundary value problem ϕp(u ) + λ1ϕp(u) = f (u)+ h(t), u(0) = u(T ) = 0, where p >1, ϕp(u) = |u|p−2u. By using generalized polar coordinates transformation method, we improve and generalize some results obtained recently in [J. Differential Equations 151 (1999) 386].  2004 Elsevier Inc.
