Fixed Point Theorems Related to C´iri´c’s Contraction Principle

In this paper, we prove fixed point theorems in a complete metric space using the concept of a w-distance and more general contractive mapping than quasi-con- tractive mapping. These theorems improve fixed point theorems of Kannan, C´iri´c, and Kada, Suzuki, and Takashi.
