A New Approach to Frobenius-Perron Operators

A new approach to the Frobenius-Perron operator PS:L1(X)→L1(X) associated with a non-singular transformation S: X → X on a σ-finite measure space X is presented with the help of the concept of conditional expectation. Some fundamental properties of PS are obtained.
