Comments on the Solution of the Cauchy-Neumann Problem for the Diffusion Operator in an Infinite Strip

It is pointed out that the calculations in a recent paper by Bownds and Rizk [J. Math. Anal. Appl.165 (1992), 144-155] follow from well-known formulas. Furthermore, the main result of that paper is a consequence of the known representation for the solution of the Cauchy-Neumann problem
