Existence of a Monotone Solution of a Nonlinear Differential Equation

In this paper the existence of a monotone solution for the nonlinear nth order differential equation is studied. First some results for the existence of a monotone solution for the associated linear equation are quoted. Then the existence for the nonlinear equation is proved by the Ky Fan fixed-point theorem.
