Abstract :
ABSTRACT:Ladybirds are the main predators of aphids, acari and other pests. These insects are an important group to study on polymorphism, Hippodamia variegate has such a large variety of color and pattern on the scutellumand elytra. In this ladybird species the number of spot on each elytra is variable from 0 to 6. During this study, polymorphism in the design and color of dorsal surface elytra from march 2009 to summer of 2010 were studied in Mehriz district of Yazd province. All samples collected from six different sites with altitude 1420-2420 meters above sea level in Mehriz district. Four different morph of ladybird`s collected in district and using morphological characteristics and described the male genitalia to identified them. Some morphs for approval sent to Dr. Fursch from Germany and were identified and confirmed. In this study try to present differentiation of the ladybird various morphs and hereby identifying the different morph will be provided for other researchers.
