Abstract :
In this paper, a robust method to changes of work points for stability of the power systems equipped with PSS controllers has been presented. In the proposed method, at first the coefficients of PSS controller for different work points of the system have been optimized off line by PSO algorithm and then a fuzzy controller to select the best power system stabilizers have been optimized according to work points of the system, is designed and used online. In this work, single machine infinite bus system (SMIB) associated PSS for three different work points has been considered. In order to evaluate the proposed fuzzy controller, the method has been simulated in MATLAB software and its out come response in different work points has been compared with CPSS controllers. Simulation results how’s that proposed method has a better performance.
