Abstract :
This study was conducted in order to calculate the economic values for different traits in dairy cows from north west of Iran. The economic value of a trait was computed by calculating herd profit per year before and after a genetic change using the bio-economic deterministic model. An economical system of dairy herd separated to revenue and cost components with system analysis approach and each of this components divided into some subdivision. Taking existing models, a bio-economical model simulated with a programming language, Economic values (EV) for production traits MY: Milk yield growth traits Birth Weight(BW) and functional traits Age at first calving(AFC) , Calving interval(CI), were calculated for a dairy production system. The sensitivity of the system were studied that changing variables of one trait, the economic value was impacted by changes of the price of milk , per kg LW and concentrates. In creasing the price of milk caused a significant rise in economic values for MY and CI. economic values AFC and BW did not change.
