Abstract :
ABSTRACT: In order to investigate the effect of five consecutive years application of different municipal solid waste (MSW) compost and sewage sludgeon yield and morphological characteristics of green beans, an experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications at Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University in 2011. The fertilizer treatments were consisted of control (no fertilizer application), recommended chemical fertilizer (40 kg ha-1 of urea and 60 kg ha-1 of triple super phosphate and 120 potassium sulfate) and 20 and 40 Mg ha-1 levels of MSW alone and plus 50% chemical fertilizer and non-enriched and 20 and 40 Mg ha-1 levels of sewage sludge alone and plus 50% chemical fertilizer and non-enriched.Results showed that fertilizer treatments showed significant effect on all treatments except plant height. According to the data highest stem diameter was observed for 20 Tonnes sewage sludge ha-1 with half dose of chemical fertilizers. Maximum of nodes number and the lateral branches had founded for treatments 40 Tonnes sewage sludge compost ha-1, 40 Tonnes municipal solid waste compost ha-1 and control. Utmost pod number and pod length related to 20 Tonnes municipal solid waste compost ha-1 with half dose of chemical fertilizers and 40 Tonnes municipal solid waste compost ha-1 respectively. Maximum economic yield was noted for chemical fertilizers. Biological yield was increased by treatment 40 Mg sewage sludge ha-1 enriched with half dose of chemical fertilizers and 20 Tonnes municipal solid waste compost ha-1.
