Abstract
This paper presents a numerical method for solving vanishing-lag delay differential equations. For asymptotically vanishing-lag as t →∞, once the lag is sufficiently small, the solution can be continued by solving an ordinary differential equation which approximates the original delay equation. Numerical tests, by means of a Fortran program called SYSDEL, which is available from the authors, show that the theoretical results are valid in practice.
